yo im new here so how does the posting work here?
Welcome to the forum. Though if memory serves me right i was forced to see the rules before starting, which covers some of this.
The forums here generally are not for conversation and debate; Rather moreso for content updates and drops. Thought it depends on the subcategory you're in (
Mom&Son erotica has a lot of requests and goes off topic a little, general is whatever, request erotica to look for specific content etc). So if you have something to contribute (
to the current topic/author) then great, but unless there's something compelling in the post don't expect a lot of replies. (
But do expect reactions, up/down votes, etc, lets you know you are appreciated without clutter)
Questions or requests are generally fine but don't overtly clutter with posts that don't contain content, so a '
thanks for the upload' is frowned on as it doesn't contribute anything while a thumbs-up is preferred. People will check when the thread is updated for new stuff and that can be a bit disappointing. Please don't beg/demand for new content that just came out, so if you're impatient and can't wait a month or whatever then you can always pay for access yourself. (
And a lot of people don't remember what 5k/s download was like on dialup...).
If you have something to contribute, you can leave a message, but include the title/list of what it is you're putting up (
as attachment names aren't part of the search options) and a lot of people like putting the covers of books as well. Course with CGI and heavy image content (CGI, Manga, AI Art, etc) either an archive or all the images uploaded. (
Some threads people drop 1 image per post which.... takes a LOOONG time to download, i personally prefer 6+). If you do upload, there's some quirks, please make all filenames unique (
having multiple 1.jpg files you'll only get one or the other...), and if the icon/image of a file you upload is blank after 5 seconds, it probably didn't take, better to trash it and reupload. For larger files/archives splitting with rar or 7zip is good. File formats tend to be jpg png (
please make sure it has at least minimal compression) pdf txt epub webp (
avaliable but won't preview on site page), zip rar and split files. If you want to offer a video (
animated comic, or other) or unsupported filetype wrap it in a zip.
Some content is contributed off site. There's a list of preferred hosting sites that are recognized, upload and leave a link. I tend to see that a lot more on vore and audio content and some eroge games where it's a bit larger, or it's something you update often and don't want to muck things up. (
my OCR mega link for example has books i'm rearranging from 'todo' and 'done' as i work on them, or remove if they aren't applicable)
To save content note the lower-right corner of posts with attachments, there's a 'download' button. (
Well not if you're browsing as a guest but if you are logged in) The download button is set to wrap all images/attachment in that post into a single zip file and offer to you, as some people do 100 images per post of comics or dozens of books, this is a nice feature. (
But you have a 1Gb limit per post, and 10Gb per day limit, so some mandatory downloading may be needed...). Otherwise manually clicking on archives, or the download per image does work too. To note if you plan on saving a lot of stuff like i do, helps to start by being a bit organized, needle-in-the-haystack quickly will overwhelm you.
Other rules, the normal. Be respectful, don't post illegal content that will be taken down, no kink shaming is one i've only seen here (
treat kinks like socks or shoes, everyone has them and don't care what color/shape they are). Try not to waste space with duplicate uploads (
if you upload in one place, linking to the second post/downloads is preferred). Duplicates in different formats is allowed (
some people put PDF's, and then later the same content as jpg or higher quality content).
And that's probably most of it.
