He is the true monster of the story and a character who has become essential to the plot. I've always liked him from the start; in FS, he doesn't bring much that's original, but in LF... even with brief appearances, he is a central character.
You are right, of course... but don't forget that Cynthia, too, is under the influence of the first serum—(admittedly a much more diluted version than the one used on Goliath and other so-called problematic animals)—which Johnson had taken care to add to all the island's water sources and beverages.
Once the serum starts being used on humans, I can already picture Mr. Johnson selling the experience of “fucking that busty blonde like an animal”. Although, given the number of interested millionaires, Cinthya would be "working" full-time.
