Thanks and agreed. Your MEGA link doesn't work for me and the sindyannajones.com link has humongous files buried in the .pdf. I guess, absent another contribution, what I'll do is use the .pdf to get the .jpg files ordered correctly.

Attached is a .bat (called .txt bc APC doesn't recognize just any file extension) file to properly (I believe) reorder the five Sky Bloom 2 files above.
In Windows terminology, unzip the five downloads, move the .txt file to into the same directory, change the extension to .bat and execute.
Turning the .webp files into something else is your problem.

If directed to me, no thanks. I've already got mine.
My problem was that the SAJ website .pdfs files were humongous. I was having a problem extracting the individual files. The .webps were a good size just jumbled up, hence the rename tool.

Some of those pdfs are truly massive if trying to extract, but SAJ is worth the extra work. I had to extract the pages by splitting the pdf into 30page chunks, then adjusted resolution and then convert into webp

Thanks for affirming that it wasn't unreasonable for my old Acrobat to choke.
In that vein, I've never been one for the 4 & 8K images. I'm just trying to get a decent view of the story.

I hear ya, i was so frustrated the first few until indecided to try and split the pdf's and do smaller pieces. I use pdf24 and that's generally a beast and still could only rip 30ish pages at a time. A few other comics have been the same way.
All the conversions I do for myself have 0 compression aside from the natural "compression" from resolution adjustments to 1280 (optimized for my preferred comic reader app) and natural compression from going png/jpg to webp

In case of could be helpfull, if you are on GAFAM's OS as Windows, there is PDFgear.
Get it as Free Version (full use activated) it will do the full job.
I canno't post the website's URL due to the site's rules, but the editor's website is very easy to find.
- With SIndy Anna Jones's PDF, such as [Sindy Anna Jones]-Skybloom-01-(ENG)-(Original).pdf (394 Mo / 142 pages):
1mn 20 secondes > Read PDF from HDD 7200 rpm > write same HDD. So not the best possibilities.
- Use "PDF to PNG" function.
- New dedicated software window > Drop your/the PDF file on it.
- Il you want to extract full PDF pages > do not change OR select the page number OR the desired page number range.
- On the left windows section > choose format file (let's pretend it's PNG) and the QUALITY: "Keep orignal DPI"
Yes, on this last point, highter DPI won't transform PDF's pictures as top line miracle, of course. - Select/feed your destination local path.
- Just click on "Convert".

I don't get why you're dealing with those PDF. You have PNG sequences available, that are correctly numbered. You just need to compress them as jpg if you don't wanna deal with uncompressed format. Images inside PDF are NO BETTER than those PNGs...

I agree with you in theory, but in practice, things are quite different with Sindy Anna Jones and the PNG format.
A few episodes, chapters, and series offer a PNG version. But almost all the links for this format are dead, and SAJ wonât hear of any requests for the PNG format. She mentions that PDF-to-PNG/JPG converters are easy to find.
However, any file that has been translated and added as a PDFâeven if the settings specify not to compress the imagesâwill be irreversibly altered.
Also, for Slybloom, I had no other viable options.

Its PNG version is negligible: downscaled to 1110x1474 / 600 KB per fileâthereâs practically nothing left in it.

For the 8 chapters, no PNGs available; PDF only

Out of 14 chapters, PNGs are available/accessible only for chapters 10, 11, 12, and 14. But even there, theyâre downscaled to 1110x1474.

If you open your eyes, you'll see that it's not some 3146x4178 that have been downscaled to 1110x1474, but rather the opposite, and in the worst way possible. Promote those 1110 up to 3146, you'll get better results than the crappy upscales inside this PDF.

Lithium is the only comic I've ever seen with higher resolution. I do have the 14 chapters, JPG, at 3300x4382 for the 6 first chapters, 1110x1474 for the rest.
Some numbers are probably wrong here, as you would go from a 3/4 ratio to a 16/9.
You assume PNG are all downscaled, but unless I'm seeing that so called hires originals, I'm not even sure they exist at all. I'll be glad to be proven wrong if you can show me one of them...
Well, if I can provide something useful, let me know. My JPG are better than anything in those PDFs.

It's a very warm and respectful way of writing. Not at all condescending, arrogant, or pretentious.
JPG is the MP3 (lossely) file of the picture, a garbage format. I talk about PNG (lossless). Yes, there were at some moment. So you do not have them too, I did not talk about garbage format file JPG. SAJ does not publish in JPG format; your JPGs are converted from the original PNGs (On the best way). Even if there are better than the PDF. Yes, the PDF are not good quality files, I knew already.
Based on what I had read on the SAJ website and in readers' comments, it was actually the opposite: 3146x4178 isn't its native resolution but a crude upscaling.
But while I responded politely and provided the information and files I had, your âif you open your eyesâ is far from that spirit and does not invite a response.
