Hello guys! I'm here out of pure curiosity because I'm dying to know—how can someone give you an ePUB copy just from an Amazon link, without actually buying the eBook or fetching it from some website? How is this even possible? Please let me know!

First question would be is what is your experience that it is even possible? How would you know how it got to be an ePUB? If it is possible I can't see the capability staying around for long.

You have to have access to the book in some fashion. Lots are free if you're paying for Kindle Unlimited. Other times people pay for their copy. But even then its not an unencrypted ePub. You have to use a program to crack it. The encryption scheme changes over time, breaks the crackers. the crackers update their programs and ... repeat forever.

Got it. First have the book, unencrypt it, then feed it to Calibre or the like and poof. Logical path I didn't comprehend from the OP.

Not quite. "First have the book" means by whatever means, fair or foul, but access to a digital version.
EDIT: Okay, I was over reading the OP. Mistook "someone" for Amazon when all that's apparently happening is that "someone" in some as yet unspecified loaner group (is this amzn.in?) has or will create an epub version. You can DIY if the document is in libgen.
