Maybe you could utilize the power of fans; which mostly comes to having a native english speaker/writer and take suggestions for rewriting it so it doesn't feel so janky.

Though looking over the images here, it's workable. But feels a bit like watching some of the Swedish fake incest porn, where english isn't their native language so the delivery is a bit off.

But that could also be part of it's charm too
