Englewood Academy for Boys was a prestigious but secretive American prep school of the mid Twentieth Century. The elite of the elite made up it’s family. Classes were small and very hands on and sometimes quite controversial. None so much as Advanced Anatomy for Seniors. Once a boy reached his legal maturity, he became eligible to attend. Little is known about this class other than the fact that it existed. Rumors abound. Most agree that it was a small hands-on workshop focused on human anatomy. The more salacious tales claim it was focused on human female anatomy and that young teachers from the Academy’s sister-school for girls, Bellegrove, were forced to be the life-models for the young men's edification. |

Every year Bellegrove hired some young women as teachers from disadvantaged backgrounds. Often orphans who exhibited grace and pose and were identified at an early age, the girls were groomed for the position. Bellegrove teachers usually went on to make advantageous marriages, far above what they could expect otherwise and so it was viewed as a plumb job, in spite of the dark rumors. The youth of the teacher chosen as a model was deliberate, giving the young men exposure to what a woman relatively close to there age should look like. The women were all in their early twenties and personally selected by the Academy’s Headmaster from a line-up of the eligible teachers. The Headmaster himself ran the class, a prerogative he jealously guarded. In recompense, the Academy would make a generous financial donation to their sister-school. |

The class is alleged to have focused on the external female anatomy, the theory being to help prepare the young men for their roles as husbands and leaders of their families. For many of them, this was the first time they had seen a naked woman. Much better for it to be a woman of at least some social standing as opposed to a member of the lower classes. The stories suggest the experience was humiliating for the model and it is unknown if the young women were coerced, compensated, or both for their participation. Rumors persist of a Headmaster’s Discretionary Fund to incent participation. Exactly how that was used is a mystery as all records were destroyed prior to the 1984 investigation and we have been unable to positively identify any of the women who were part of the program. |

The demonstrations were quite explicit, with the young woman demonstrator displaying her anatomy to the class in detail while the headmaster pointed out the various structures, explaining their function. The demonstrator was not encouraged to speak but was expected to follow directions fully and instantly. |

Some of the more extreme stories allege that the focus of these workshops was a demonstration of how to arouse and pleasure a woman sexually with hands on participation by the students encouraged under the direction of the headmaster. Just how hands-on the demonstrations got is still conjecture however anecdotal evidence suggests all of the students were given the opportunity for at the least a close-up examination of the demonstrator. The focus of the workshop included how to give woman carnal pleasure, the theory being that the proper young ladies these men would eventually date would benefit from their worldly knowledge and be less likely to seek other, less suitable, young men to satisfy their baser needs, ensuring no dilution of class. It is unknown if there was a similar program at Bellegrove. |
