[LmAnt] - Interview 65

I was amazed when I saw who the Pezak had asked to bring the order.
It was MB, who entered with the tray of the requested drinks and smoking utensils.
It took me two moments to realize who she was, though.
She looked … different, and not just because of the clothes. And I would need more time than I currently had to put the change into words.
“You know my assistant, Amber,” the Pezak introduced her again, which I thought was somehow fitting in that context.
“She's one of the few employees here who knows about my activities.”
“Hey Hanna,”
she greeted me kindly, in the tone of an obliging hostess, and I got the uncomfortable feeling that I might have been trying to turn her lover on with my grope.
“I hope you've had a chance to relax at least a little,” she continued, not really expecting an answer.
“Hi... Amber,” I greeted back, adding with a lame, ”I'm working on it.”
Thankfully, the Pezak interrupted this somewhat awkward greeting:
“It was Amber who exposed C2 when she discovered during a routine check that the signature on your consent form was forged. The declaration with which you placed the order for one of our ... very special offers. The signature did not quite match the one on your visitor badge. C2 was responsible for these papers.”
That in itself was sufficiently upsetting. But then the Pesak followed up:
“You met him during your introductory interview.”
Holy crap!
That was spot on!
Mr. Asshole Interviewer was.... C2!?
My “colleague” at the OITC?
The double agent motherfucker!
I'm not a violent person. Really not!
But at that moment, I put a first name on my personal death list.
The Pezak gave me a little time.
But I didn't know how to use it, nor if and what to say about it, except:
“The drink, please, now!”
Amber and the Pezak both nodded simultaneously and with equal understanding.
And he obligingly handed me one of the well-filled glasses.
I could tell by the smell what was coming, and was hardly surprised that he seemed to know how much I liked this stuff from time to time.
And rarely - if ever - had I needed it as much as I did at that moment:
Southern Comfort.

[LmAnt] - Interview 66

I took the offered glass and asked for a cigarette before taking the first sip.
At the moment, I didn't care about anything else.
I was still missing a lot of detailed information.
But firstly, I doubted that I would get them all, and secondly, they would only help me to a limited extent.
I could turn it around however I wanted.
Seen from all sides, I was in a pretty deep mess.
The Pezak handed me one of the glow sticks and also offered me a light.
And as if I hadn't stopped smoking almost 20 years ago, I pulled on the thing like a pro and didn't even have to cough!
And then I emptied the SC slowly, but on ex.
The pleasant soft burning warmth ran through my throat and the desired effect was immediate:
A large part of my tension dissolved in alcoholic side effects.
I could go on.
