To expand on this, the late 90's early 2000s The TG fiction comunity was in it's prime, there were lots of authors, the Daz 3d TG comunity was booming, but after that we lost a lot of TG authors/artist. Some to death, some others to real life issues and some got the courage through their work to take the steps to actually transition and once they achieved their goal felt less of a need to express themselves through fiction/art. TG fiction/art was withering on the vine.I think there's multiple answers to this. The biggest is probably that the renders and art style are the best for the genre. A more depressing answer is that there are a ton of people in the TG community that actively praise AI stories and art with zero discernment. I have lost hope in the general public's ability to read and critically think.
The advent, first of easier 3D rendering and then of AI art/AI story writing coupled with the Patreon explosion has lead to an increased content output, and those who were starved lap it up desperately in some cases. which has caused many content creators to value expeditious work over taking time to ensure quality.
And the Fandom is full of people desperate for some/any form of content, and New Consumers of Content who never experienced the 90/00's era of work.
