[Melissa N.] Collection

I think there's multiple answers to this. The biggest is probably that the renders and art style are the best for the genre. A more depressing answer is that there are a ton of people in the TG community that actively praise AI stories and art with zero discernment. I have lost hope in the general public's ability to read and critically think.
To expand on this, the late 90's early 2000s The TG fiction comunity was in it's prime, there were lots of authors, the Daz 3d TG comunity was booming, but after that we lost a lot of TG authors/artist. Some to death, some others to real life issues and some got the courage through their work to take the steps to actually transition and once they achieved their goal felt less of a need to express themselves through fiction/art. TG fiction/art was withering on the vine.

The advent, first of easier 3D rendering and then of AI art/AI story writing coupled with the Patreon explosion has lead to an increased content output, and those who were starved lap it up desperately in some cases. which has caused many content creators to value expeditious work over taking time to ensure quality.

And the Fandom is full of people desperate for some/any form of content, and New Consumers of Content who never experienced the 90/00's era of work.

A Kpop Idol Chapter 14 Part 3

It is very good that the story continues, but now I see only more of the story being dragged out. A new part that is not even a dialog, but only a prologue to the dialog. Seriously, 750 pages and the plot development was only during that mythical operation. I don't know, but lately stories have been dragging on so long that you forget what happened before, and when you reread it, you realize that nothing really happened before. At this rate, the story will be revealed after the 2000th page.

Guys, i have a request, can you guys upload k pop idol up-to-date in one file , just make a zip that will be okay for me ,
I haven't read that comic for a long time

Wow Melissa N is remaking her older works like K Pop Idol....It took her a while to remake it....She didnt take that much time to remake her other older work Barbie's Life though.

Anyways, I second that Jackjons request on putting all of works on k pop idol in single zip file.

Because the Patreon model incentivises her to drag things out.

AFAIK, there's not that much difference in the text between the old and new versions of Barbie's Life. It's essentially the same story, with about 30 (rather simple, mainly portraits) new images. So, the amount of work involved is not that large.

K-Pop Idol, though... first, it's changed form, from illustrated prose to full comic. That involves A LOT more work rendering images. It's now over 650 full images, and there is a lot of story still to be told. We are talking a factor of more than a hundred to one in terms of rendering effort. Also, Melissa has revised the plot substantially. I'm not really surprised that it's taking a lot more time for this.

if I remember right Barbie's Life was the same story she edited and make 3d illustrations. k-pop she rewrite from start and in 3d format.

For me, the problem is the format. It takes an illustrated book format that is perfect for complex storytelling and reworks it into an inappropriate 3d format yet tries to make it cinematic by adding padding images by the dozens, such as a view from a distance, the hero appears in a scene and walks, and then they just talk from different angles. It spends a lot of effort on something that makes little sense and content. it reminds me of a manga or animation adaptation, where you spend many times more effort improving the visuals, but the content remains essentially the same. the value of an average single frame becomes negligible. most images can be removed without losing content and just adding text. I myself really like Nabi's design in kpop, and seeing her reaction in different angles and close-ups, but honestly almost all other renders where nothing is happening emotionally are not interesting to me.

the lucky dividing line is the beginning of the release of mirror september 21. it will be 5 years old in september and maybe not even melissa will have time to finish it. all the content in that time is mirror kpop, which will be half finished by then? roommate, temba, sweetness and two new year comics.
And compare that to the content from five years before that. tug of war, milf, kpop, russian girl book, teacher lesson, model, need for speed, and a bunch more mini comic book stories. and stories illustrations had more feminization content like more than one surgery, slow transformations, salon makeovers, very much outfits.

So that's an admirable effort from Melissa N. Trying to turn her book into essentially a comic book. I guess K-Pop Idol must've been a story close to Melissa N heart considering she is going above n beyond for it.

I'd argue that illustrative prose is clearly what Melissa excels at when it comes to these stories. She renders stuff nicely but it's soulless and short on character development comparatively.

"Tug of War" was obviously bloated and is extremely long but it doesn't scrimp on the slow feminization aspect as well as the intra-personal drama. Even looking at the shorter stories that focus less on fully rendered environments like "a Not so Temporary Roommate" or further back like "Barbie's Life", there was a ton of exposition in every page and that remains a lot more satisfying which speaks volumes. I'm sure that Melissa will never go back to illustrative prose since writing is much more demanding but I can always hope. At the very least maybe do a secondary story that is prose heavy while having a main story like KPI or AM that just looks pretty without much going on under the hood.
