What it is not believable is a Father who allows his son get involved in his relationship with his wife, or take this confidence exceeding his son condition at this point he should suspect at least his wife is having an affair or the strong relationship with their son. It seems like the mother usually ends up pregnant by the end of the comic, and honestly, I want this comic to continue for much longer!

Lana need's what to explain? Alex ist her husband,Daniel ist the "Lover". But it shows how the dynamics in the relationship have changed. And that Lana increasingly wants the new type of relationship with Daniel to be like this.

The most reasonable way of ending the story without endless chapters is that If Alex would know somehow the possible baby wasn't his he left, divorce and end of the serie comic. If It took the pregnancy direction. Other alternative, fooling him, having Daniel's baby It will be unbearable drama. I really hope If Daval wants to keep milking the goose that lays the golden eggs, won't introduce a baby in the scene.
