These forced feminization stories are about that fantasy of being pushed—despite all of our internalized transphobia telling us that we're not trans enough—into transition because the process of coming to terms with being trans and actually transitioning is difficult. Why is it difficult? Because of a transphobic society that we all live in, to one degree or another. In the case of us trans women, there's also transmisogyny to bare in mind. Our society is misogynistic: to be a woman is both inferior to men and also fetishized by cis men who seek to use womens' bodies for perpetuating white supremacy, of which the patriarchy is a part.
Anyway, force fem stories let trans women safely explore being trans without having to own it. A character can deny actually being trans all they want, but they're ultimately a trans woman getting to become their ideal self safely.
LilKat's stories tend to have these happy endings, even if the odd kink or two is included, because there is satisfaction in letting a trans girl have the catharsis of self-acceptance. The trans girl main character gets to become cute, make meaningful friendships with cis women or other trans women, and even gets a boyfriend—something that trans women are discriminated against for? Yeah, obviously stories about these things are going to be written.
Personally, I've really enjoyed the date scenes. It lets these characters be MORE than the indecisive, passive and pathetic characters required at the beginning of the story so as to initiate the forced feminization. Through making bonds with the other girls, Daphne transforms on the inside, which allows he to take ownership of not just her life, but her own womanhood. Trans girls want to make their dreams come true outside of fiction, too, and creating art like this helps us crystalize those feelings and put them into action.
Also, these stories are good for laughing at with the women you date lol
