Thanks @Thebasement334 for posting the new chapter, this is a wonderful surprise. I know many are not please with how long it is taking to complete this story but I think moonlly's story telling in Forever Summer is nothing short of genius.

I would also suggest IzumiSan. Runaway is feeling very similar to FS so far, but there's only a couple chapters out. But it's also moving a bit faster and updates way more regularly.

A while back they explained that they would stop doing regular updates, I think it is cause of their health but I don't know for sure.

Just a hunch but I feel like Moonlly has too much personally invested in FS to leave it incomplete. Earlier announcements suggested we could expect some delays that out of respect for the artist should remain private and not the subject of speculation. When the time comes, I think the story will be completed with the level of quality and detail we have come to expect from Moonlly. Because of the passage of time we might all have to refresh a bit with a reread to understand all the inter-connections with the rest of the story but that is not something I mind for a story as good as this one.
