It's a shame there aren't more stories with that premise. If you know of any other stories with this type of transformation, I would really appreciate it, guys..

yeah, i usually speak with Melissa when i want clarifications for some things that were in her stories, like Marina in "MIRROR", Melissa explain it to me that she wasn't and never were the villainess in the story but only a woman that made bad decisions and in the end was trying to get it fix it in the best way and that lead her to decide to abandon Elena by fighting with her and making Elena thinks that it was all her fault, all of this was done to let Elena find happiness with the Samaras Family that with time became Elena real family
