Blackadder Discussion Thread

"Might be her last one."

He needs to learn a new trick. Whatever country he is from evidently does not have the saying, "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."

I really miss this personality she had. Really elevated her apperance, and made the sets she was submissive in way more interesting too.

She could sit on their faces and smother them with her massive asscheeks. What a way to go but worth it. If she was real me next me next.

Hi mates,
Need your support to make some GIFs. Those who are interested to be part of this project may react here or DM me. We are creating a Game based on BA's work.
TIA

We are making comics with GIFs and mp4 would take larger space. For example gif of this imge

MP4 is significantly more efficient than GIF.
For the exact same moving image, an MP4 file will almost always be much smaller than a GIF, not larger.

Why MP4 is More Efficient than GIF
  • Advanced Compression: MP4 uses modern video codecs (like H.264 or H.265) that only store changes between frames. GIF saves every single frame as a complete, individual image.
  • Color Limitations: GIF is limited to 256 colors. Even with this heavy quality restriction, its file size remains bloated due to outdated compression.
  • Modern Web Standards: MP4 supports millions of colors and handles transparency better in newer web formats, while maintaining a fraction of a GIF's file size
  • Also this options:
  • Image-Based Animation Containers
These formats behave like GIFs (looping, autoplaying images) but use modern compression.
    • WebP (Animated): Created by Google, this format is widely supported across all modern web browsers. It supports transparency and reduces file sizes by up to 64% compared to GIF while maintaining better quality.
    • AVIF (Animated): Based on the AV1 video codec, AVIF offers the best compression for still and animated images today. It can create files that are up to 50% smaller than WebP and significantly smaller than MP4 for short animations, though encoding takes longer.

  • Next-Generation Video Containers & Codecs
If you prefer using a video container, you can swap the internal video compressor (codec) inside the container for a newer one.
    • WebM (with VP9 or AV1): WebM is an open-source container designed specifically for the web. When paired with the AV1 codec, it delivers file sizes that are roughly 30% smaller than a standard MP4 (H.264) at the exact same visual quality.
    • MP4 (with HEVC/H.265): You can keep the MP4 container but swap the older H.264 codec for HEVC. This cuts the file size of a standard MP4 exactly in half, though some older web browsers require specific licensing to play it.

  • Codec Efficiency Comparison
For digital comics with lots of flat colors and text, the compression efficiency ranks from best to worst as follows:
    1. AVIF / WebM (AV1) – Ultimate space savers, smallest sizes.
    2. WebP / MP4 (HEVC) – Excellent balance of size and universal playback.
    3. MP4 (H.264) – Good standard, but mathematically outdated.
    4. GIF – Massive, bloated, and obsolete.
