I love Daval's art and would like to pretend the creepy old Peter's still there to make things interesting, make David put up a fight for Sarah's affection, instead of just letting him think he's entitled to have it, and, hopefully, force him to become a better lover under the threat of losing her to both him and her son, but in reality, he does this for the extra money some Peter fans are throwing his way. It's plain obvious and not that much of a surprise.
