thanks a lot for the reply St.Claire... My original question was not about Frank obsession about Erica... The was made clear in Frank's flashback. Again thanks for clarifying why Erica eventually became so comfortable in wearing female clothes. This was not obvious in text. Your explanation "Erica always knew, but has had a hard time dealing with her inner truth" is quite good explanation.In the flashback near the start, Erica dresses as a girl for Halloween and this starts Franks obsession with Erica.
Why did Erica dress like a girl with no pressure to do so?

Anyways my original question was why did Erica herself started to see herself as a woman in the story? I mean Erica even started to use she/her pronouns in middle of the story with no explanation at all. Than again this entire story is from Frank's perspective. So we the readers might've intentionally kept in the dark by Kizaru3D about Erica's personal journey to her womanhood.
