[Various Authors] Mom Son erotica

Just a little curious here since everyone is either talking about converting files to pdf/epub and the web sites themselves. I am wondering what format people prefer to read these stories? Personally, I like reading straight from the site (assuming they are online) because Firefox has a nice reader view. If online isn't available, I prefer pdf next. Now on this site I am seeing a lot of epubs which I'm generally not used to for porn. I know how to convert files and am good with computers so converting isn't an issue. It just on my kindle I only tend to read actual novels so putting porn stories on there just never felt right for me.

What format(s) do you prefer and why?

I dislike online, mostly because you don't know if it will just poof one day, site goes down story gets deleted, etc.

PDF is fine if you intend a very specific layout intended for say printing something; like an application or with very specific layouts that you don't want in another way (D&D books comes to mind). But otherwise i hate them. They are far larger than they need to be (usually twice as much, plus you can't optimize images so whatever's there you're stuck with), sometimes password protected or encrypted, and offer no word-wrap options (meaning you can't adjust font size and have it naturally fit on a page. Instead you probably have to zoom and move around a rendering like it's a huge picture). Some PDF's use a bigJP format which is basically text but is probably placing every character separately as a 'image' making it a little more difficult to extract text to a proper text format.

Epub is a zip container where all content is available, making it easier to optimize, make changes, word wrap options, etc. Though some formatting is very limited, but 95% of the time that's probably fine as stories and books are mostly text. In the event you don't have a reader you can also extract epubs and just read the content directly and treat it as a offline webpage. (Have come across one or two encrypted epubs, but those seem rare enough and unsupported that we just throw them away)

Next you mention porn, well you can use CBZ. CBZ (ComicBook Format) is sorta like an epub, it's a bunch of png/jpg/gif files read sequentially based on sorting file order shoved into a zip file; That's it. I have my OCR project in another thread, and those image books you can rename from epub to cbz, and read them just fine as it just decodes the images in order for you to read. There are limitations, like these formats don't officially support webp, you can't search for text But is great for manga (and Korean/Chinese Manwa where they are VERY tall and you just scroll down), pre-rendered books.

Personally, i either use epub or cbz depending on if it's images or text. PDF is a backup, and i haven't used or needed the other formats (and just convert to epub). It probably doesn't help that i picked up a couple nooks on the cheap that can't connect or update because of SSL changes and i literally can only easily read epub/cbzs on it loaded from a microSD card. (yeah it does PDF, but it loads some full office suite, a little heavy and slow for text).

edit: Oh right, and i remember complex PDF's (like the D&D 3rd 4th manuals) taking 45-90 seconds to generate per page. Not exactly good for quick skimming, and better to pregen the pages instead...

Since I usually read these on the computer instead of nooks like you mentioned I guess is why I prefer pdf although I definitely agree in that if there are pictures in there, they don't fit right and the size of the file increases greatly. I can still read epub using calibre or I can convert them if need be so it's not a big deal.

I have to admit I have no idea about CBZ format and have never even heard of them. I can see how those wouldn't work in pdf or word or some other more common format. Actually, if you have any CBZ's or other comic book format mom/son stories, they would be fun reads if you wouldn't mind sharing some.

For comic book ones, there's quite a few 3D CGI stuff as well as Randy Rawls with the 'with mom's help' or the like, which isn't very hard at all to build. The ebook readers i've used support CBZ easily enough, and may even work on webp files within them too. Otherwise Caption stories would probably work; though it's effectively 2 pages on a single page (an image plus text).

From the Mothership Wilderness Try downloading the attachments, then rename it to cbz and open it in a phone/tablet ereader. You may like the results :) Or if you want to go straight hentai/doujin, My Son's Toy may work too.

Thank you! I'm going to check out the Mothership Wilderness. I do prefer to read these on PC so I am trying comicrack. Don't know if that's the best, but it's free and one of the first I've found. It is getting the pages out of order though which isn't a good start so I'm going to see if I can fix them without too much trouble. Lol. I appreciate the share and suggestion

Naming of the filenames in CBZ determines the order, though different sizes of filenames would be annoying, going 1, 10, 100, unless it's 001 010 100 for the filenames. Or throwing them into folders may work too.

A script would fix that too, but i'm not the most familiar with the best way to do a windows batch file for it, vs linux tools that are so easy for this.

It was a matter of the images being 1.jpg, 2.jpg when using double digits fixed it; 01.jpg, 02.jpg, etc. I'm sure three digits would also work, but since these Mothership Wilderness parts only have about 12, two digits works perfectly fine. I write a lot of python code for work so it would be really easy to write something to automatically rename everything for me. Thank you and if you have any other cbz porn stories you like, let me know where to find them please. They don't necessarily need to be mom/son even though that's my preference. I also like mild cuckoldry/unaware husband.

when I run into a botched cbz, or cbr file for that matter I unpack it, use bulk rename utility to fix the names and repack it. A batch file might work, but unless it's programmed with selectable options it could just screw it up differently.
