Yes, Nini surprised us all by bringing back the idea of "Undercover" a few months ago. In fact, O'jisan and I had planned to recreate it and we already had the plot to start the animations, but it was decided to cancel everything due to Nini's announcement. It's nice to know that she has in mind to develop this story, we'll see what she has prepared for us.

I had almost forgotten about our plans for this project. CVXtreme & I had planned this and worked on the outline. As I recall, had a fairly "dark" ending (?). I messaged Nini about our plans and informed her it was the most requested short by our group ... would an actual story be continued by her? When she announced her plans, I was elated ... but a little disappointed that we had to put a halt to our plans. Still, I'm sure Nini will work her magic on the updated storyline ... though there's still a special place in my heart for her original concepts of the heroine's overall appearance ... she's a bit more demure here ...

Here we are almost the end of October, looking forward to what Nini has in store for us these next two months. We're less than 2 months away from the Group's 2 Year Anniversary ... hard to believe, after a couple of false starts; but glad we stuck in there to make this group a success. Looking back on Nini's catalog so far, I would have to choose "completed" works, which narrows the field quite a bit ... I won't count "shorts" at this point.
I would have to give Tribal the Number One position; it's just a classic, hands down ... though it could be argued that it was never completed and I wasn't entirely happy about the texting structure, but it does work overall, with an excellent final chapter which builds tension slowly, just reeking with atmosphere. then builds to a stunning climax! It is still a great example of just how great TK17 software can look when utilized to it's fullest. Bravo, Nini !
The Number Two spot is a bit more difficult to chose, but if overall completeness of story counts, I would have to give it to Business Trip. Ikuko and Bob's work relationship blooming seems believable (even if you discount the "mind-control" drug possibility). We're also in Ikuko's thoughts a lot, which make her one of Nini's most fully realized characters. Her rationalizations are classic!
Third position goes to Doomed Love, another TK17 gem. It starts of with a small uneasiness due to a travel botch-up. The wife is left abandoned by her husband's work in a somewhat sleazy last minute lodging (Bate's Motel, anyone?), filled with two unsavory characters. Her isolation and paranoia get the better of her, and she walks right into the spider web. True, is does leave a lot of unanswered questions, but it still works; a helpless female trapped by circumstances that seem beyond her control.
Forth would be Photo Shoot. A rather "normal" gorgeous housewife does a Photo Session at the behest of her husband, who discovers her repressed sexual identity through manipulation by the photo studio employees, and increasingly sexually-charged photo sessions ... basically trapped by her growing sexual hunger. The ending is somewhat out there ... I can't imagine a husband who wouldn't recognize his own wife while he fucks her, just because she has a bag over her head ... but it adds a bit of fun to the ending ... another wife done in by good intentions and desire.
Finally, I would go with Billiards ... the final version. Hisako is an interesting character ... her competitive nature is like a gambler on steroids ... she just can't stand to lose, and will take on any bet Danny throws at her, while never realizing she's being hustled by him at every step. She's her own worst enemy, and suffers from extreme guilt pangs ... all the while rationalizing her sexual hunger, even until the very end ... she still thinks she's a loyal wife.
What these all have in common are very interesting a sexy lead females. I thought about Kokomi's Confused Diary, but the tacked on conclusion just killed it for me. I think Nini ran out of ideas for an ending.
Special mention to a very short clip, originally titled "I finally got off work ..." ... I just love that image and vibe. Simple, straightforward and sexy as Hell.

Finally, the Fifth Episode of Vision, and thanks to the on/off energy of the Orb ... the stalwart (and talkative) husband of Yumiko, can only catch fleeting glimpses of his wife's exploits with the NPC Rant. As hubby's frustration mounts, with the limited "visions" allowed to him by the Orb, Yumiko's isolation and her apparent abandonment in the World, plus her increasing reliance on Rant ... the breaking point for both spouses mounts to near critical levels. Is Rant just a reliable NPC companion for Yumiko ... or is his presence an increasing threat to her, with the possibility of her being manipulated by AI Intelligence ?
Can she escape her imprisonment within the World? Will a possibly AI Enhanced Rant allow her to leave?
The plot thickens ... with no penetration in sight !!

... Woke up this morning ,... looked at the date ... then I realized that our Group here on APCX, just passed our Two Year Mark yesterday, since we opened up for business !! This means we just started Year Three !! Wish I could pass around some champagne to celebrate, but AI hasn't achieved that lofty goal yet. My good thoughts to you all will have to suffice at present.
Just want to thank every member of the Group who has participated over the past couple of years, as we wouldn't be here without you people ... this includes
the lurkers, too ... you know who you are, even if we don't, but everyone is appreciated. It's been a tough balancing act, especially in light of the 2 Week Delay
clause and the "no-shota" allowed rule ... but I personally thank you all for your support on this, even though most groups on the Web seem a little cynical and demanding these days.
I'd like to thank CVXtreme for his major contributions to our Group ... plus his amazing ascension as a 3D VAM Animator in his own rite ... plus, our somewhat "silent" voice of reason behind the scenes ... What's the usual difference between OG Episode and "fan-edit" Editon?

Ah ... another question from Ghosts of Christmas Past ... here I go ... yet again ...
"Fan-edits" of Nini's works are a sort of hobby of mine, which started right before the Covid19 Pandemic. Nini used to be what I referred to as a very "sloppy" editor. Her early videos were peppered with abrupt scene changes, overlong blank sections, bad lighting and editing choices which used to drive me crazy, because I always thought her stories were very good, overall. I would edit those video for my own personal viewing ... which included softer scene transitions ... lighting and color corrections ... lengthening of favorite sex-scenes, when viable ... sound effects to strengthen drama ... re-subbing awkward dialog ... and lengthen what I considered "abrupt" endings.
I shared a couple in the old 8Muses Request Group, and the response was positive so I've continued sharing ever since. Nini's editing skills have improved markedly over the years, so my work-load on her videos have lessened, but I still like to clean up "awkward" dialog, and edit what I consider in need of "touch-ups", as I did on Yumiko's solo scenes, this time out. It's fun and I still enjoy doing them ... then sharing them in Group.
