You're flattening two different things into one thing.

First, you are incorrectly assuming that a man would need to use the specific language of "a cuckold". As I said, there are LOTS of couples who discuss things like swinging, open relationships, hall passes, or wanting to watch their partner with someone else. Even if the specific language of "cuckold" is not used, that's what it is for the specific purposes of the genre we're discussing. As I said, that's how like 90% of these stories start. Even your cheater analogy works against your argument here, because few cheaters will enter a relationship and say "hi, I'm a cheater" -- they'll use softer language like "I made a mistake" or "I strayed in my prior relationship".

Second, if a woman tells a man "I will allow you to have mistresses if we get married as long as you recognize me as your primary", there are plenty of horny men that will take her up on that offer.

But women are not alien creatures who are devoid of lust, and there LOTS who reject the concept of "Alphas" or whatever, and will hear their boyfriend say "I don't mind if you have a paramour or two as long as you know who you come home to" and answer "Say Less".
