Yeah, you are right it's weird. I mean, if you go by that ordering (and I have just found separate evidence that you are right), the *first line* in the story begins with "on the following weeks, Simon's physic (I think he meant physique) pass through a few more changes..."
That seems to refer to something that happened before. Is this story a follow-up to another one?

What does a year have to do with it? It is his concept I think slow changes maybe it will eventually. Mental changes really slow here we dont know when they accept their sexuality

You don't get it , at that time you can see the adult seans are lesser then nowadays! If you read cblack comics the 1500 + pages comics, there we can see a sex Sean in around 500+ or even more after pages! But now days comics are so fast , in next 20-30 pages sex seans started!
I am not complaining!
And besides, almost every barrosbr comics, there is no mentel changes, They believe they are man , while using braa , bikini and girls dress ,but still believe they are man
